"We are a sad and lonely generation with happy pictures."
I saw that quote early this week and have been reflecting on it ever since.
In the smartphone age, we find ourselves constantly comparing ourselves to each other and only ever putting our best self forward on social media. We compare ourselves to each other on the commute to work, at work, on the mat, and especially on social media, and it's really hard not to. You are enough as you are, mess and all, beautiful and broken, showing up for your life every day. That's all you have to be and all you have to do. You're already enough. You are enough means you can grow and change and continue to become, because you aren't trying to prove yourself to anyone.
